Previously, Samsung Voice Recorder only supported transcription and summarization for recordings, but not for calls.
A call transcription function appeared with the release of One UI 7, but the ability to summarize them was not available.
According to the latest app update code (version 21.5.70.78), Samsung is testing the call summary feature. To make this work, a text transcription will first be created, which will then be processed to create a summary.
Users will be able to choose between cloud and local processing to protect their data.
This technology is similar to what Google offers on the Pixel 9 and Apple offers with Apple Intelligence on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16.
