It is proposed to establish interaction with the insurer – the Social Fund – through the “My Tax” application. You can choose the amount of insurance coverage, 35 thousand rubles or 50 thousand rubles per year, yourself, the premium will be 1344 rubles or 1920 rubles per month, respectively.
The amount of sick leave benefits will depend on the length of service and the period of payment of insurance premiums, it follows from the document. A self-employed person with more than eight years of work experience will be able to count on 100% of the total amount selected per year, with five to eight years of experience, with 80% of the total amount. Up to five years of service, sick leave payments will not exceed 60% of the selected amount.
A self-employed worker will be able to register for temporary disability only after six months of paying the insurance premiums, with a payment of 70%, and after one year, 100% of the amount calculated according to the previous rule, the bill states. .
It also offers discounts and bonuses for monthly payment. Self-employed workers who have contributed for more than 18 and 24 months and have not received benefits during this period may reduce their payment by 10% and 30%, respectively. If the amount of insurance coverage for the year exceeds the amount of the insured amount, the premium for the next six months will increase by 10%.
When introducing the institution of self-employment, its main task was to bring informal employees out of the shadows, and now there are already more than 10 million self-employed workers in Russia, and it is necessary to “take measures to strengthen their social guarantees “. ”Alina Shleeva, senior lawyer at the Propositum law firm, told Kommersant.
The head of the information department of the independent union “New Labor”, María Koleda, pointed out that paying dues for six months for self-employed workers “could become an additional financial burden”, so it is still difficult to assess how effective and demanded will be the payment. the initiative will be.
Vedomosti wrote in October 2024 that the Ministry of Labor plans to introduce social contributions for the self-employed.
