The new chip, introduced a few days ago, achieved an impressive 190,326 points in the OpenCL test. This is 18% higher than the RTX 4080 Laptop GPU and 6% higher than the RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, highlighting the performance gains of the next generation.
Testing was performed on an Alienware 18 Area-51 laptop equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with 60 compute units and 16 GB GDDR7 memory.
The maximum frequency of the video card was 1.5 GHz, but under optimal conditions the GPU is expected to show even higher results.
The RTX 5080 Laptop GPU will be available in March 2025 starting at $2,199, making it a solution for enthusiasts.
However, testing conditions and driver versions remain uncertain, which may affect actual gaming performance.
