Of the total figure, legal entities accounted for 19.5 trillion rubles, and individual entrepreneurs – 400 billion rubles. December was a record year in terms of income – 2.5 trillion rubles, including 38 billion rubles from individual entrepreneurs. At the end of December 2024, the market share in e-commerce reached 65% compared to 62% in December 2023. The average number of purchases per visitor increased from 6 to 7, and the average bill increased from 1,088 rubles to 1,336 rubles from December to December.

In the last month of the year, 1,427 new companies entered e-commerce, the number of existing players reached 45.5 thousand (in December 2023 – 42 thousand).

The RB.RU association explained that the majority of this amount (97%) comes from domestic trade, from goods purchased on Russian websites and online stores. The remaining 3% (241 billion rubles) is the volume of cross-border trade, goods that Russians buy online from abroad.

Data from the Federal Tax Service points to the growing role of e-commerce products in the household spending portfolio, says Alexander Krivosheev, managing partner of communications group +7 Productions.
