At the moment, the service only allows you to receive an SMS code, a unique one-time password for the application or two types of biometric data (standard and verified).
The new simplified biometrics, unlike other types, do not require confirmation by a personal visit to the bank or the presentation of a foreign passport. The user will only have to take a photo in a special secure application “States Services Biometrics” and activate the corresponding function as a two-factor authentication method in his personal account.
Biometric data will be stored in the state Unified Biometric System (UBS). The validity period of the biometric profile can be consulted through the EBS.
In November, the government approved a list of MFC services that can be obtained using biometric data without the need to present a passport. In particular, this will allow you to obtain or replace a driver’s license, register a car, file for divorce, and receive benefits. MFC biometric data is also stored in the EBS database.
