Hua Hong’s chairmanship will be replaced by a former employee of an American company. Bai worked at Intel for more than 30 years, developing and mass-producing logic chips.

He will now be responsible for promoting the Chinese company in the field of advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies.

Historically, Hua Hong has specialized in analog chips and embedded memory, with most products being 100nm and above.

However, the company is expanding production by focusing on logic chips and the development of 40 nm process technology. The new factories in Chengdu and Wuxi need to strengthen their position in the market.

Hua Hong aims to reduce China’s dependence on foreign suppliers with the support of the new administration.
