The company plans to double its investment in order to meet the increasing demand for the production of semiconductors compared to the last three years. In particular, the reason for this is due to an increase in chips for the expansion of the largest chip manufacturers such as Intel, TSMC, Samsung and SK Hynix, as well as for artificial intelligence and high performance calculations (HPC).
Fujifilm takes the fifth place in the world to companies such as TSMC and Samsung for the production of photorezists for semiconductors and material materials. The company also produces ultra-low photorezists for EUV-LITography, which requires strict requirements for sensitivity, resolution and compatibility with the materials of the EUV photomas.
The company builds a new facility for ¥ ($ 83.27 million) in Sizuook in Japan and expands its capacities in South Korea. In South Korea, the equipment at the factory in Pyeenthak is also updated and the new factory for the production of abrasive agents in Chkhanan will begin mass production until 2027.
