An original and fun way to breathe life into one of the screens that you will see most often during the day on your monitor. And next to the desktop, the start screen is also usually present whenever you turn on the computer or lock it for security if you are going to be away. Remember that for lock screen just click Windows key + L.

So for customize this screen Locking Windows, we will see everything that Microsoft’s own operating system allows. The goal is to make the home screen as ours as possible. It’s easy, fast, and you’ll appreciate it every day.

Customize your home screen

To get started with this task, we will need to navigate to Parameter Windows. In particular, in the section Personalization. More precisely, in Lock screen. You will find Parameter from the start menu by clicking the button Windows keys + i or from the Windows search engine. There you will find everything we need.

First we’re going Customize your lock screen. There we will choose what we want to be the wallpaper on the main screen. The option is enabled by default. Windows Featured Content, which mostly consists of high quality photos uploaded from Bing. If you are interested in having these images also used as wallpaper, check out this article.

But if you’re tired of looking at these photos or prefer your own, change this option to Image. You can choose between Windows wallpapers or your own photos if you click on view photos. There you can also choose whether you want to see Windows recommendations or not. And if you want to randomly view your own photos from a folder or collection, choose the third option called Presentation.

if you choose Presentation You will also have the option to turn off the screen when the images are finished, or turn it off directly when Windows is locked. Another very useful option is the one that allows you to display images taken with camera or smartphone and what you have on your PC or in your OneDrive folder.

To set up Windows, we can start from the start screen.

What do you want to see on the lock screen

The most striking thing about the Windows Start Screen, apart from the wallpaper itself, is the time and date. By default, this is what we see there. But we can replace this information with another, no less important one. For example, the weather forecast or the latest messages you received in your inbox.

FROM Settings > Personalization > Lock screen we’ll go to lock screen status. By default, the dropdown list is selected. Calendar, but you can select None, Mail, or Weather. This way you will see useful information when the screen is locked or when you turn on your computer. Or, conversely, do not show nothing but your account and a place to enter a password. This will give you a closer look at the background image.

Although Windows does not offer too many options for customizing the Windows Start screen, with a few available we can achieve good results. For example, we can create custom backgrounds with images containing messages as a task list and then add it to your lock screen. Or just enjoy your photo album by locking your Windows screen.
