Last year, Meta partnered with eyewear maker Ray-Ban. Ray-Ban Stories, a good quality and beautiful smart glasses. This Wednesday (13), this Aim Announced an update to glasses that let you make hands-free calls, send and listen to WhatsApp text messages.

The company also underlined that messages and calls made through Ray-Ban Stories are protected with end-to-end encryption. In fact, Meta states that after the first voice command in WhatsApp, the servers do not store the voice transcripts. The update is rolling out to the Facebook View app for Android and iOS in all regions that offer the product.

Ray-Ban Stories is equipped with two 5 MP cameras that allow you to capture photos and videos for up to 60 seconds. The wearable also has two speakers for making calls or just listening to music.

Not available in Brazil

Last year, the company updated its glasses system with more integrations with Facebook Messenger, and according to Mark Zuckerberg, it will soon be possible to use the device to directly respond to WhatsApp and Facebook messages with voice commands.

While the novelty has already reached thousands in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Australia, there is still no forecast for the launch of Ray-Ban Stories in the two countries. WhatsApp’s main markets in the world: Brazil and India.
