IP and legal entities can send information about the cryptocurrency received to the local tax authority if included in the Miners Registry.
The obligation to register information on the reception of digital currency is established by the Federal Law of July 31, 2020 “on digital financial assets, digital currency and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation.” It is necessary to inform about the reception of tokens no later than day 20 of the following month when the miner obtained the cryptocurrency.
At the end of November, Vladimir Putin signed the law on cryptocurrency taxes. According to him, the revenues of cryptocurrency transactions are included in a single tax base with transaction income with values.
The tax rate is 13% for revenues of up to 2.4 million rubles per year and 15% for the amounts that exceed this threshold. At the same time, it is forbidden to change to simplified fiscal regimes, including a patent system, as well as a special mode for self -employed.
