Now the botnets are increasingly included not only in IoT Gadget, but also in the rented virtual servers. This allows attackers to initiate strong DDOS attacks and distribute sifez viruses.
According to RUVDS, virtual machines are mostly used for attacks on web applications (L7). Computer pirates may not be able to rent a server, but to get hosting providers via promotions free of charge. Sometimes they transmit the servers of other people and make them a part of Botnet without the knowledge of their owners.
