The state Duma offered a mandatory three -year experience for psychologists with private practice

The author of the initiative, the president of the State Duma Committee on the protection of the Nina Ostanina family (Communist Party), confirmed the authenticity of the document and said that on February 13 it was discussed at a meeting of the Committee’s Working Group . Although the project has not yet been admitted to the State’s Duma, it is supposed to be interfraction.

“There will be no more training centers in Blinovsky Psychology, etc. there will be no more offices, because there will still be professional educational organizations, universities that prepare professionals,” said Ostanina at the meeting. The bill also shares the concepts of psychological assistance and paid psychological services. The provisions of the law “on the protection of consumer rights” will be applied to the services paid. The techniques used by psychologists should be based scientifically, and their work must comply with traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, says the document.

According to him, minors may receive psychological assistance with the consent of one of the parents or guardians. In emergency cases, assistance can be provided without it. In addition, children may independently receive remote anonymous psychological assistance in resources defined by laws or presidential decrees.

The law can enter into force on March 1, 2026, but some of its provisions will begin to act later. In particular, the three -year requirement to open private practice will enter into force on January 1, 2029.
