Electronic imports to Russia decreased for the first time in two years

According to the Russia-Asian Union of Industrial and Entrepreneurs, the import of electronics last year decreased in annual terms by 1.5 to 2%. From the information of the Federal Customs Service, it follows that in January-October, high-tech imports, which include electronics, equipment, transport and more, were reduced by $ 1.2 billion, or 1.1% of the same period of 2023.

Foreign companies that organize production in Russia will be in a more advantageous situation, since loans in Europe and China are issued at a lower rate, believes the expert.

In 2025, the importation of electronics will continue to hire, experts believe. This will happen due to the high loan rates and export restrictions on dual purpose goods (these include equipment and components of IT), said Georgy Slistolo, main partner of the optimal logistics company.
