In one of the AMD HYPR-RX slides, although technology was officially supported at RDNA 4 (RX 9070 and above), FSR 4 was activated in Radeon RX 7800 XT (RDNA 3).
As part of the CES 2025 exhibition, AMD implied that FSR 4 could work in RDNA 3, because these GPUs are already equipped with AI. However, their forces are lower than RDNA 4, so the question remains open.
If there is no error in these AMD materials, the RX 7000 owners can get FSR 4 support through optimized versions of algorithms.
However, AMD’s main task is to provide the quality of disskayling without loss of performance.
