Experts from the University of Elechnical (LETI) from St. Petersburg created a wireless antenna in the difficult conditions of the North Pole and along the North Sea Road (SMP). The device works in the short wave range and combines compactness with the possibility of quick installation. The university said that the new antenna solved the communication problem at enormous distances of more than 5.5 thousand kilometers, which is ineffective due to the distance from the infrastructure and difficulties in low organ satellites.

Short wave antennas traditionally vary in large sizes, which makes them practical for use in densely populated areas. However, it is ideal for the Arctic, because the radio waves of this range are converted from the ionosphere and provide significant distances. Designed design is compact: It consists of a metal pole with a high 12.5 meter -high metal pole that is stabilized by delays. These brushes not only hold the pole, but also create a wide band -spread structure.

Scientists believe that their antennas will find practices not only in the telecommunication of the North Pole, but also in rescue or discovery. The design is easily installed, which makes it a universal solution for temporary or fixed needs. Thanks to the use of existing materials and modern modeling, the new device promises to become an effective tool for the development of communication infrastructure in the most inaccessible corners of the planet.
