Approximately one -third of the Russians (35%) prefer to store “strange” photos in cloud warehouses, not on the phone. This has been proven by Yandex 360 with the results of a survey conducted with A2: Research. A total of 1,200 people from 17 Russian cities attended the survey.
Almost half (45%) of the participants admitted that they had ashamed photos. The most common were pictures with old partners – 61% of the participants protect them. In addition, the list – school photos (47%) and pictures from parties and corporate parties (44%). A special place is occupied by children’s personnel, for example, a photo in “saucepan” or a photo in strange clothes – 35% of the participants.
Although most of these photos are on the phone (58%), cloud services are second in popularity. Each third user prefers to upload them to a cloud. Another 33% uses flash drivers and external hard drives and 24% hides pictures on the ambassadors.
The Russians do not rush to delete these photos. The main reason for this is the fear of losing memories, so 48% of the participants responded. It is afraid to regret about a third distance and 15% hide themselves -for the sake of the Ilony. However, 40% admitted that such photographs were accidentally sent to these people.
Why are the Russians the most afraid? These “strange” shots will see their wives (47%). The possible reaction of parents and colleagues is also worried. Nevertheless, the majority will not yet remove the digital “skeleton in the closet”.
