Rosel Holding Rosel’s NII experts have started to develop a new television system for the Russian Orbital Station (ROS). The system will include the cameras with 2K and 4K resolution as well as data coding and transfer modules via the World Station network. These devices will provide high image quality even under difficult lighting conditions by shooting both in the station and outside.

According to developers, the new equipment will allow you to transmit video in real time, which will allow the crew’s operational response to changes and the execution of video conferences on the ground. Cameras and data processing blocks are designed to integrate into the station’s overall video surveillance system and provide multiple tasks. For example, a video from different cameras will be displayed on a screen that will increase the comfort of the crew.

The first modules were planned to be released until the end of 2027. The basic scientific and energy module will be a starting point for the construction of the station and three key modules will be added by 2030. In the second stage, from 2031 to 2033, the station will also be equipped with two target modules. The new television system will become an integral part of the infrastructure, which helps to get better data for astronauts and scientists.
