FAS opened a case against Otkritie Bank for advertising a loan. The service found a violation of the law in advertising distributed on the Internet. Previously, the FAS opened cases against several other banks and against Yandex.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service opened a case against Otkritie Bank for possible violation of the law in advertising consumer loans. This was reported by the department’s press service.
“The ad provided loan rate information that was attractive to consumers. However, other essential conditions were not specified,” the FAS said.
Consumers received incomplete information from advertising about all loan conditions, the department summarized. If a violation of the law is determined, the bank faces an administrative fine.
In February, the FAS opened a case against Rosbank for violating the advertising law.
