Traditional nuclear fuel contains 3-5% U-235, isotope and releases energy. With 5-20 % enrichment, it allows reactors to work longer, produce more energy and reduce waste. The adoption fuel developed by Westinghouse contains chromium and aluminum additives that increase thermal conductivity and durability. It also contains “toxic” elements such as thousands of thousands that stabilize the reaction and prevent power.
