Microsoft released another collection of monthly updates for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Embedded 7 this week. Updates are only available to users who have purchased the Extended Security Update service.

Updates can be downloaded as “security only” or “monthly rollup” as usual. Security only includes this month’s updates only, while the rollup also includes all updates from previous months.

This month, among other things, an issue with Windows Media Center where users had to reset the program every time. Also fixed a minor memory leak, an unnecessary ‘Event ID 37’ message in the log, and some issues with network domains.

The ESU program will run until January 2023 and will be mainly aimed at companies and organizations. The service must be repurchased each year, doubling the price each time.
