Instead of a physical experiment using a diamond needle, a virtual analogue is used that allows you to analyze the behavior of the coating under the load without laboratory equipment.
The technique has already been used in carbon spraying on nickel substrate. Scientists from the University of Science and Technology of Ufa examined how cracks look, how layer destruction occurs and what parameters affect the power. This is particularly important for creating new materials with advanced properties.
Particular attention is paid to multi -layered structures where iron, nickel and carbon are joined. Such a combination allows you to achieve high strength and resistance to corrosion with a minimum increase in the product mass.
The use of these coatings has an economical effect because it allows you to use cheaper materials without loss of quality.
