SpaceX introduced a five -page letter to the regulator, pointing to the possibility of providing a satellite starlink system for positioning, navigation and synchronization (PNT) as an alternative to GPS. The company is already working on the PNT system for cellular communication and plans to launch a new standard through the T-Mobile operator in July.

SpaceX also actively integrates PNT solutions into commercial services and refers to the desire to encourage the protection of “American leadership” in this field. Although SpaceX has not given any details about the proposal for public use, it is officially emphasized that the company “can play an important role in creating a reliable and stable system”.
