Details of the number of satellites, tasks and characteristics have not yet been explained. According to CASC China, satellites have successfully achieved a certain orbit. Due to the privacy of the project, it is assumed that devices may have both civil and military purposes.
The Guowang system will contain approximately 13,000 satellites in different orbits and will use the latest data transfer technologies, including laser connections between satellites. It will serve both the state and commercial needs – for example, it provides a wide band internet.
In 2025, the launch was 33th in a row at the beginning of China’s orbit.
