Tiuanako began like a small village, but in time it became a strong center with temples, pyramids and monuments. About 1000 years ago, civilization disappeared and left behind many puzzles.
The temple of Palapat surprised both scientists and local residents. It is located at a strategically important point where the outlets of mountains, valleys and plains. The dimensions of the temple are impressive – it covers an area of the size of the city neighborhood and contains the central courtyard surrounded by 15 rooms. Its structure is directed to the sun and is probably used for rituals during crops. Ceramic bowls where corn beer was poured during the holidays were also found.
Scientists continue to explore the temple and hope to learn more about the life, beliefs and sunset of this civilization.
