The new device was designed to manage accessories in the Apple Home system and had to work with updated personalized Siri. However, this function was not ready for the public launch, like other components of the Apple Intelligence platform. Although the hardware is almost completed, the software requires additional improvement.
Previously, the personalized Siri was assumed to appear in the iOS 18.4 update in the spring of 2025, but now its output has been postponed at least in 2026. Inside, Apple acknowledges that the function really exists and works, but so far does not provide appropriate user experience.
According to the inside, HUB, Apple intelligence support 6-7-inch cross screen, facetime calls and A18 chip will be equipped. Although the mass production of the screens is planned in the third quarter of 2025, they do not plan to start the device without working software filling.
