Test results of a possible prototype for Intel’s next-generation ‘Raptor Lake’ CPUs have been spotted in the UserBenchmark database. The scores aren’t even higher than Intel’s current top model on the benchmark list, the Core i9-12900KS, but there isn’t much of a difference.
The prototype, called “Intel 0000”, has 14 cores and 20 threads. The base clock speed is at 2.5 GHz with a Turbo Boost up to 4.2 GHz. The motherboard is named “Intel RaptorLake-Px LP5 ERB” on an “Intel Raptor Lake Client Platform” system.
The benchmark reports that up to 87% of the processor’s power is held by Windows. Therefore, the test results could possibly be much higher. Raptor Lake is expected to launch in September, so it will be a while before we really know how fast Intel’s 13th-gen CPUs will be.
