The development described in Nature Electronics uses the standard 45 nm CMOP process similar to the usual processors used in the production of ordinary processors.

Technology is based on the 12 micro -ring resonator, each using four wave mixture mixtures. Previously, such systems required voluminous laboratory installations, but now the process is being transferred to a compact chip.

Key innovation is a self -correction system. Each resonator is equipped with a micro element that allows you to automatically adjust the frequency and stability of its photographs and photons in real time.

The selection of the CMOP platform means that such quantum chips can be largely done in the same factories as traditional CPU or GPU.

Globalfoundries and Set Laboratories participated in the development of the process. According to experts, this leads to a common technological basis of scalable quantum systems that are potentially combined with AI equipment.
