Modern standards require strict control of the electrical resistance of materials used in dangerous industries. The usual polyethylene used today does not execute current and accumulate static electricity that can lead to a spark and explosion.

The new material contains carbon nanotubes that provide controlled electrical conductivity. These nanoyaps are produced at the SB Ras Catalyst Institute. Special mixing technology allows you to distribute nanotubes evenly in the polymer without damaging their structures.

Development will be located in the enterprises of petrochemical, gas, coal and chemical industries. The material is suitable for the production of containers where explosive dust and flammable fluids are stored and transported.

According to the creators, the material meets all the requirements of electrostatic safety. Prevents sparks even at a highly flammable steam or dust concentration.
