According to the FAS, Apple has “abused its dominant position in the iOS app distribution market.”
The reason is simple – in the App Store, iOS app developers are prohibited from informing in-app customers about the possibility of paying for purchases outside the App Store, and using alternative payment methods. Otherwise, Apple won’t allow apps in the App Store.
It was reported that the size of the turnover penalty to be given to the company will be determined during the administrative investigation. But, according to lawyers, the fine will be 1-15% of the company’s revenue last year and will be collected from Russian Apple Rus LLC.
