The program started in 2024 at the Supreme School of Economics and then joined KFU, Urfu, Tyumen State University, Sıbsmu and other universities. In total, more than 500 students participated in different directions. They used artificial intelligence as a tool for creating diplomas – to prepare mainly structured text and literary investigations.
For the job, students were free to access YandexGPT 5 language models through Yandex Cloud. In the defense of diplomas, the students explained what tasks they solved with the help of neural networks and how they plan to use them in the future. The commissions evaluated students’ conscious and critical interaction capabilities with artificial intelligence.
University representatives stressed that such technologies did not replace thought, but completed. In their opinion, the students were able to reduce the temporary costs of the routine part and focus on more creative tasks.
Some universities are useful not only for students but also for teachers, because artificial intelligence is already part of the professional environment. Yandex Education said that they plan to continue to develop cooperation and to help universities search for the most effective ways to promote modern technologies.
