Digital Chat Station Insider reports that Chinese smartphone manufacturers reduce the use of satellite communication and leave only for the most expensive models with the best memory.
This is a bad news for those who wait for satellite functions to appear on more affordable Android smartphones. On their iPhone, Google plans to add them to Pixel 10, and the rest of the Android devices is mainly a privilege of flagships like Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. If Chinese brands abandon this idea for medium size models, other manufacturers are less encouraged for cheaper phones.
Now the satellite communication on smartphones is still rare.
