After the acquisition of Twitter in 2022, Musk made large -scale discounts – more than 6,000 people lost their jobs and the staff decreased by about 80%. Officially, employees were promised for three -month compensation. However, many said that they had taken only a part of the amount or that they have never received it.

In July, a federal judge in San Francisco decided that Musk did not have to fulfill the old agreements, because he was concluded even under Twitter’s previous leadership. The employees objected to this decision and the hearings had to be held in the appeal court in the near future. However, the parties wanted to postpone the meeting to try to make an agreement.

If the agreement is reached, this may end a long -term dispute.
