Peek is a universal engineering plastic that protects its properties at temperatures up to +250 degrees. The material is resistant to water vapor and aggressive environments.
Production is arranged according to patented synthesis technology developed by JSC Institute Plastmass. The total project cost was approximately 300 million rubles. The initiative was applied as part of the import change program with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The first consumer of the material was the Chuvashkabel plant that required a heat -resistant polymer for the production of special cables. Products are comprehensive tests in 18 physical and chemical indicators, including melting temperature and viscosity.
Annual production volume is 7-10 tons. Tomsk State University is a scientific partner of the project that provides quality control and the development of new material brands for the automotive and medical industry.
