The system will include species such as sapsan, baloban, ktetic, bustard and sterh. At the birth of chicks in special nursery, scientists will take genetic tests and enter information on a central base. This will provide full trace of the origin of individuals during the life cycle.
The creation of a genetic bank will solve several important problems. First, it excludes the likelihood of illegal trade in wild birds under the guise grown under captivity. Secondly, scientists will give the right data about real populations and genetic diversity.
Access to the system will receive environmental and law enforcement officers. The storage of information is planned to be regulated on the basis of the scientific institutions of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.
The project will also allow the analysis of the offspring, to estimate incidence risks and to develop more effective measures to maintain biological diversity. The discussion of the initiative is planned within the scope of the upcoming Eastern Economy Forum and the International Falcon Forum.
