Traditional solar collectors use solid materials such as semiconductors to absorb light. They lose some of the energy, so scientists are looking for more effective solutions. Supervision – Solutions with nanoparticles that absorb light and make heat – have become a promising alternative. However, before, such fluids were expensive or undecided.

The Russian team from Rostov-on-Don and Moscow created a water and graphite puppy. With the aid of ultrasound and microwaves, a ten times smaller than graffiti viruses turned into nanoparticles. The tests showed: 0.25%of the diamond particle concentration of liquid water by almost 87%, which is much higher than the standard methods.

The implementation of development will help to make solar energy more accessible, reduce oil and gas dependence and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
