Pixel smartphones are popular but not sold in every country. VoLTE allows you to make calls over 4G LTE and Wi-Fi over VoWiFi; This is important when the cellular network signal is weak, but the technology does not work on smartphones in all countries.
That’s why Korean developer Kyujin Cho released Pixel IMS, which bypasses carrier verification and enables VoLTE/VoWiFi even on unsupported networks.
After the update Pixel IMS stopped working and gave the following error: “overrideConfig cannot be called by the shell.” Google closed the security vulnerability. However, the media writes that users will be able to activate VoLTE using a new method and from a different developer, although the instructions are available only in Chinese and are distributed through Telegram.
The new method also does not support VoWiFi.
