According to the Communications Development Strategy approved by the government, by 2035, 5G networks should cover 80 cities with a population of 100 thousand or more. The new infrastructure will form the basis of unmanned transportation and smart city technologies, as well as the digitalization of industry and social space.
Implementation of the project will require solving a number of problems. The production of base stations actually starts from scratch, and approximately 75 thousand pieces of equipment need to be produced by 2030. This will require significant production capacity and training of qualified personnel.
The key stage will be the frequency allocation in the 4.8-4.99 GHz range, planned for this year.
