According to Raikevich, all unmanned trucks operating on the M-11 Neva and Central Ring Road highways are already connected to the data collection system. In the future, it is planned to analyze not only mileage but also quality indicators to assess the technological readiness of transport.
The draft law on the regulation of unmanned transportation is being prepared by the Ministry of Transport and relevant units on behalf of the government. It is planned to be introduced in the first quarter of next year.
The development of unmanned transport in Russia is planned until 2035 and includes the introduction of vehicles with the fifth level of automation – fully autonomous trucks that can move on public roads without the participation of the driver.
