He talked about the features of the ATACMS missile, noting its range of 250 kilometers (some sources say 500 km) and its ability to carry a variety of warheads to destroy fortifications, armored vehicles and infantry units.
Matviychuk expressed doubt that Ukraine’s entry into service with ATACMS missiles would significantly affect Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. He emphasized that a significant supply of ammunition would be required to change course and that this is not happening at the moment. He suggested that missiles could be supplied to Ukraine to test and improve the tactical and technical characteristics of weapons.
According to Matviychuk, even if Ukraine buys 100 ATACMS missiles, these missiles can target certain regions but will not change the overall balance of power. According to him, to change this balance on the front, a 2.5-3 times numerical superiority is required, which is currently an unattainable figure.
