One of the iOS 26 users noticed that while typing, the characters on the computer screen are incorrect, although they are actually highlighted on the keyboard. To do this, he had to record a video of typing in slow motion.
When you squeeze, type the phrase Thumbs Up, when you lift the letter U, the letter J appears. A similar error occurs when you press M, instead of which N is entered.
There are two versions of why the keyboard behaves this way, but both of them are wrong
- The problem is with the auto-correction. However, disabling this feature is not an error.
- Failure related to zone key recognition. At the same time, the video shows that the buttons on the keyboard are highlighted correctly, and in the notes everything looks the same with a different symbol.
The problem occurs on different iPhones, but not on all users. Apple did not comment on it in any way.
