The use of superconducting materials and new heat exchanger concepts makes it possible to create an efficient and less energy-intensive gas liquefaction technology. Unlike traditional compressor systems, the new installation will be more durable, safer and less noisy, Sergey Taskaev noted.
The center, called Helmholtz, has already begun work on creating a liquefier, and ChelSU invites companies to cooperate on creating a domestic prototype. This technology could be the key to further development of hydrogen energy.
