Microsoft has once again reassured consumers that the end of support for the Office 2013 content editing suite is near.

Officially, support will end 11 April 2023. This means that as of that date, software such as Word 2013, Excel 2013, Power Point 2013 and their derivatives will no longer receive performance or security updates.

Also, there will no longer be mandatory technical support, bug fixes, and vulnerability fixes. Using Office 2013 while syncing or moving files to the Microsoft 365 cloud service can also cause incompatibility issues. Even so, all software will continue to function normally and it is up to everyone to decide, at their own risk, whether to continue using the platforms.

And now?

Office 2013 delivers on what Microsoft promised earlier: five years of full support and five years of additional support.

Users whose license is still in effect will now receive further notifications to switch to the platform’s modern plans through personal or corporate means. This Microsoft 365 It underwent a price adjustment last year and currently has subscriptions starting at R$38.40 per user.
