If you suddenly forget your password, there are three proven ways to unlock your Android smartphone.
- Smart lock function. Before proceeding with the unlocking process, you must enable this function and make certain settings. At the same time, if you forgot your password and have not activated this feature before, you will not be able to use it.
Thanks to the Smart Lock function, the smartphone can be unlocked if you set the right conditions for it. For example, you can specify that your device be at home or that your smartwatch be connected to the device via Bluetooth. If these conditions are met, the smartphone will be unlocked automatically.
To enable this function, you need to find the “Lock screen” item in the smartphone settings, then click on Smart Lock, enter the password and choose one of the unlocking methods.
- Google account. In this case, you need to remember the password of the Google account on your smartphone. You need to go to Find My Device, log in to your Google account, select a smartphone, click “Clean device”, confirm factory reset. In this case, all information contained in the device will be deleted and it will be impossible to restore it. Also, you will not be able to use this method if your smartphone is not connected to the internet or its battery is empty.
- Recovery Mode. This mod allows you to reset everything to factory settings. It will be possible to recover deleted files, but only if you have backed up your data. To activate the mod on most Android devices, you need to hold the power button and turn up the volume when turning on the smartphone. On some smartphone models you also need to zip Bixby. You will see the next menu on the screen and there you need to select Factory Data Reset and then Reboot system now.
