Intel’s Alder Lake processors can bend significantly due to the pressure of the heatsink mounting system. This may disrupt the contact of the heat spreader with the heatsink as seen below. The manufacturer acknowledged this to Tom’s Hardware, but says it’s within spec. The company is threatening that a third-party solution could result in a loss of warranty.
