From the beginning of 2022, Russians are more likely to buy clothing, shoes and accessories from second-hand and commission stores. Moscow Credit Bank and Post Bank noted an increase in costs in such stores several times.
Since January, the average purchase check of Russians in second-hand stores has also increased: from 940 rubles last year to 1,080 rubles this year, Izvestia reports.
Russians became interested in second-hand clothes in spring, the busiest months for shopping were June and July. Citizens began to buy things in second-hand stores more often against the background of the withdrawal of foreign clothing stores from the country, bank analysts say.
Specialists expect further growth in purchases at these stores. They attribute it not only to the desire of Russians to save money, but also to the opportunity to get more impressions, to feel like a treasure hunter.
