Employees of game developer Game Insight have filed dozens of lawsuits against the company demanding payment of wages following the closure of the Russian office. The total amount of debt is about 70 million rubles.

Game Insight employees file lawsuits against the company in an attempt to recover back wages

In the file cabinet of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction from July 25 to August 18, 74 lawsuits were registered, Kommersant reported.

On June 14, Game Insight LLC submitted an application for liquidation to the Federal Tax Service, and on August 10, the arbitration court accepted the claim to declare the company bankrupt, Pavel Sedov was appointed liquidator. “After the first statements, Sedov contacted us and said that he knew about the lawsuits, but that he would not be able to pay the salaries, because the company did not have funds in his accounts,” the game designer from Sedov told the publication. Game Insight, Anastasia Surina.

Lawyers from the Lithuanian headquarters of Game Insight explained that, taking into account the Lithuanian sanctions, payments to the Russian “daughter” are impossible, Pavel Sedov said. According to him, the prosecutor’s office and the investigating commission are carrying out a control prior to the investigation for non-payment of wages.

Game Insight was founded in 2009 by Alisa Chumachenko, now Game Insight is owned by Lithuanian Game Insight UAB. Game Insight LLC’s revenue last year amounted to 1.5 billion rubles, profit – 100 million rubles.
