Chinese PC, notebook and gaming peripheral maker Machenike is entering the Russian market, Kommersant writes. Device deliveries to Russia will be made by Marvel Distribution, OCS and Treolan (part of Lanit).
Marvel Distribution said it considers Machenike “an extremely promising brand” which the company says holds around 20% of the gaming device market in China.
The Machenike brand is owned by Haier (supplies home appliances and electronics to Russia). In June, it became known that Haier’s Russian representative office will build a new plant for the production of refrigerators and freezers in Naberezhnye Chelny and will spend 4.5 billion rubles on this.
In mid-July, another Chinese gaming laptop manufacturer, Thunderobot, which is also part of Haier, appeared on the Russian market.
- At the end of 2021, according to M.Video, the Russians had Asus, Lenovo, Acer, HP and MSI as the most popular manufacturers of gaming laptops.
- Asus and Acer announced in March the termination of deliveries to Russia. Also in March, Apple stopped selling in the country, and in early June, HP.
