American teenagers learned how to make drugs from whipped cream. Now the cream is only sold to adults

The law aims to ban teens from using canned whipped cream to inhale nitrous oxide, also known as “whips.” The substance causes an intoxicating effect.

According to American researchers, about one in five teenagers used such “whips” at least once before they went to eighth grade. Inhalant abuse “can damage parts of the brain that control thinking, movement, vision, and hearing.”
