The B2B service “Darkstore at home” closed the first round of investments. The company raised money from a group of private investors and the development company Samolet. This was reported to RB.RU by a startup representative.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed, the valuation of the company at the end of the round exceeded $1.2 million.
In addition to the Samolet Group of Companies, people from the Russian Post, now top managers of the logistics company Master Delivery, invested in the start-up: Igor Shiyanov (CEO and co-founder of Master Delivery) and Timur Myaldzin (director of development). Also involved in the deal was Alexey Dmitriev, a former Eastern European private equity fund partner and manager of The Boston Consulting Group in Dubai and Moscow.
about the project
Darkstore at Home is a solution for orchestrating hyper-local delivery: a network of mini-warehouses and the infrastructure to manage them.
The main customers are retailers, online stores and private sellers from markets interested in the delivery of products in 30-60 minutes. The company is now a technology partner of the Ozon marketplace.
Darkstore at Home allows you to rent 1-shelf warehouse space for 3,000 rubles and directly integrate your own warehouse management system with a B2B client website or application via API. This approach allows you to manage orders, see the products remaining on the shelves and choose the most economical delivery method. The company’s logistics partners are Delivery Club and Dostavista.
The startup was founded in the summer of 2021 by entrepreneurs Kirill Chekanov and Grigory Tareev.
Where will the investment go?
The company will use the funds raised to expand its storage infrastructure and develop a network of partners in Russia.
Now “Darkstore at home” offers the possibility of placing in 4 warehouses within the Moscow Ring Road with a total capacity of 1400 shelves. In the next six months, the company plans to increase the number of warehouses to 8.
