Apple introduced the affordable smart watch of the new generation Apple Watch SE 2

Apple has updated the Apple Watch SE – now it’s SE 2. The watch is still positioned as the most affordable solution in the product line and is hardly mentioned from the original version.

The body has been redesigned and is now made of recycled aluminium. Colors available at launch include Silver, Midight and Starlight.

The main change is a simplified rear panel: now the sensor is surrounded by some kind of nylon-based composite material. Theoretically, when using this material, the absence of allergic reactions even with a long relationship (sweat also does not change the situation).

Another significant feature of the update is the bezel-preserving screen: the preserved diagonal has 30% more usable area than the Apple Watch 3 (and a slightly smaller figure when found with the previous generation SE).

Also, the second generation Apple Watch SE received the same design as the standard Series 8, which corresponds to a performance increase of 20%. You can expect smoother menus and great responsiveness in all usage scenarios.

Updated color scheme. Looks wealth

Thanks to new sensors, the watch recognizes a car accident and sends a signal to the rescue service as part of the CrashDetection and Emegrency SOS functions, as in the earlier version of the current generation. At the moment, only the US and Canada are depreciating.

Worth noting is the improved WR 50M standard water resistance, thanks to which the watch can withstand occasional and irregular absorption in water.

Software features play a special role for the Apple Watch SE 2. The new watch not only detects tracking an increased number of active participants, but also more “adult” features:

• disease tracking (with a response in the form of regular messages or using new features);
• tracking the pulse with excitations with uncharacteristic changes;
• recognition of phases and duration of sleep.

In addition, all the software innovations of watchOS 9 are available, including connecting to a “parent” account as part of the “Family Setup” function for a specific location, emergency messages, and sending messages without a smartphone. Home App and Wallet support is mentioned.

Visitors to the official online store in the United States purchase a GPS version of the watch for $249, a watch with an LTE module for $299. Start of sales on September 16th.
